Dr. Balaji Bashyam is a Consultant Endoscopic & Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon based in Chennai, India, with over 16 years of overall experience and 10 years of Spine Specialist experience. He completed his advanced Fellowship in Spine Surgery (FISS) at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore — one of India’s most prestigious and high-volume tertiary spine centres — where he trained across the full spectrum of spinal disorders, performing 80–100 surgeries per month. He further refined his expertise through the internationally acclaimed AO Spine Fellowship at Schoen Klinik München, Germany, one of Europe’s leading spine surgery institutions, followed by the RIWO Endoscopic Spine Fellowship at St. Anna Hospital, Herne, Germany. An international presenter at Spine Week, Melbourne 2023 and a published author, Dr. Balaji brings world-class spine surgical training to Chennai, currently practising at MGM Healthcare and Pavithram Speciality Clinic.
